Improvements were made to the M1 Yamaha motorbike electronic device which is currently one of the Japanese manufacturers' targets ahead of the second half of MotoGP. That's all to improve the performance of both Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales drivers in the remaining 10 races this season.
Both Rossi and Vinales have repeatedly asked the Yamaha team to immediately make improvements to improve the electronic performance of the bike. But the complaint was not fully responded to by the team.
As a result, two Yamaha drivers have passed a year in MotoGP without a win in the MotoGP main class. This is the worst record since 2003.
"For us to make further improvements, we need to receive some improvements. And we expect this in the Brno series," said the manager of Yamaha Movistar team, Massimo Meregalli quoted from the official MotoGP website on Tuesday (07/31/2018).
Meregalli also claimed that his side had so far focused on a number of improvements, especially electronic issues. But he was not too concerned when the two drivers continued to urge the team to immediately make changes to the M1 motorbike.
